The Wexford Fringe Festival will be held in October this year, providing plenty of fun and entertainment for people catching ferries to Ireland for the half-term break.
More than 250 events will feature on the programme for the 2009 festival, which will run from October 15th to November 1st.
Wexford is located in south-east Ireland, meaning it is most easily reached by catching ferries to Rosslare from Fishguard with
Stena Line or from Pembroke with
Irish Ferries.
Over the past 50 years, the Fringe Festival has grown into one of the city's largest and most popular cultural events.
It will provide culture and entertainment to interest people of all ages and tastes this year, including art exhibitions, antiques markets, drama and opera productions, food fairs, singing competitions and more.
During their time in Wexford, visitors can also keep an eye out for attractions such as St Iberius Church and the ruins of Selskar Abbey.
Stena Line and
Irish Ferries also provide Dublin ferry services from Holyhead, while both P&O Ferries and
Norfolkline Irish Sea offer ferries to Dublin from Liverpool.
