Ferries to Ireland will prove popular with horseracing enthusiasts this month as a major festival is held in County Galway.
The Galway Races meeting will be held over four days from August 29th to September 1st this year.
People interested in attending can catch ferries to Dublin from Liverpool with P&O Ferries or
Norfolkline Irish Sea or travel on the Holyhead to Dublin ferry route served by
Irish Ferries and
Stena Line.
Travellers can then take a scenic drive across Ireland to reach the Galway Racecourse in Ballybrit on the west coast.
The Galway Races festival combines flat and national hunt racing and provides plenty of entertainment, excitement and value for money for visitors.
Horseracing fans will also have the opportunity to pay a visit to Galway later this year to see an Irish bank holiday meeting on October 25th and 26th.
As well as sailing to Dublin, travellers can reach Ireland on the Pembroke to Rosslare ferry service provided by
Irish Ferries or by catching ferries to Dun Laoghaire from Holyhead with
Stena Line.
