People with a passion for good food and drink will be booking their ferries to Scotland soon to attend a number of events in the country.
One of the highlights of the year for Scots is Burns Night, which is celebrated throughout the country on January 25th.
Parties traditionally feature haggis with mashed turnips and potatoes, along with plenty of good Scotch whisky.
People based in Northern Ireland can take ferries to Stranraer from Belfast with
Stena Line or travel on the Larne to Cairnryan ferry service provided by P&O Ferries to join in with the celebrations in destinations such as Glasgow, Dumfries and Kilmarnock.
There will be several gastronomic events taking place in Scotland later in the year, such as the Celtic Food and Drink Festival in Kenmore on April 25th.
Ferries to Stranraer and Cairnryan also provide easy access to the town of Paisley, which will host its annual Beer Festival from April 28th to May 1st.
Another way for travellers to experience Scottish culture is by visiting the Orkney and Shetland islands, with ferries to Kirkwall and Lerwick available from Aberdeen with
NorthLink Ferries.
