People with a soft spot for seafood could be tempted to catch ferries to Spain in October to attend a festival in the province of Pontevedra.
The Seafood Fiesta will take place in the coastal town of O Grove in north-west Spain from October 2nd to 12th.
Travellers can catch ferries to Santander, the closest port to O Grove, from Portsmouth or Plymouth with
Brittany Ferries.
Thousands of people travel to the town every year to attend the seafood festival, which sees locally caught fish and shellfish prepared by town residents and put on sale at special prices.
Several other events are held to provide entertainment for visitors, including live music concerts, traditional dance performances, sporting contests and exhibitions.
P&O Ferries also provides access to Spain with its Portsmouth to Bilbao ferry service.
After arriving on the north coast, ferry passengers can take a scenic drive west to reach O Grove, which is part of the Galicia region of Spain.
