Brits planning to take ferries to Spain this year have been offered some tips on how they can make their trips as affordable and convenient as possible.
The Telegraph points out that travelling to the Iberian country by sea will be made easier when
Brittany Ferries doubles the frequency of its services.
A new vessel is set to be introduced, meaning that from March onwards there will be three weekly services on the Portsmouth to Santander ferry route and one crossing to the Spanish port from Plymouth.
Another option is the Portsmouth to Bilbao ferry route, which will be served by P&O Ferries on a twice-weekly basis until the end of September.
People who are looking for short journeys were advised by the Telegraph to sail with
Brittany Ferries, which offers crossing times of 24 hours maximum.
Those who are prioritising price, however, were informed that they could find the cheapest deals with P&O Ferries.
One money-saving tip offered by the newspaper is to take the ferry to Spain for the outbound journey and return by driving through France and taking a shorter Channel crossing.
