The Isle of Wight Autumn Walking Weekend will soon be taking place, and Wightlink ferries are well placed for taking people over to the island.
More than 50 walks are available on this year's programme, which is being held from October 21st - 24th and is expected to draw in crowds from all over the country.
Among the highlights is the Speed Dating walk that has attracted as much interest as it has in previous years, with three previous couples even getting married.
Other walks include a sponsored hike in aid of Beaulieu House, which is only suitable for highly experienced walkers.
Spanning 72 miles in 24 hours, the ramble takes participants all the way round the island using its coastal path.
A number of quirky walks are also planned for the 2011 event, including ghost, food and garden walks, ensuring there is something for every taste and level of ability.
