ferries from Dublin to Holyhead may share in the enjoyment of British resorts that UK holidaymakers are currently experiencing in large numbers.
Managing director at luxury travel club Voyage Prive John Bevan said a "surge" has been experienced in bookings for popular resorts.
Devon and Cornwall have done well, he noted, but also other places.
"Jersey and indeed Wales are also popular this year, with many holidaymakers heading to luxury hotels such as the Lake Country House Hotel in Powys," he remarked.
Trips to Holyhead can bring travellers close to some of the most popular tourist hotspots in Wales.
Among these are the mountains of Snowdonia, a number of narrow gauge steam railways, plenty of beaches and historic castles, while keen walkers can take a hike along the Welsh Coastal Path.
Parts of northern England are also very easy to reach, such as the historic city of Chester with its Roman Walls and cathedral.
