Veolia sells ferry to SeaFrance at undisclosed price
Veolia unit Veolia Transport has sold a ferry it bought last year for 112 mln eur to SeaFrance, a unit of state railway SNCF, for an undisclosed amount, the daily Les Echos reported, citing SeaFrance for news of the sale and unnamed sources for last year's purchase price.
Veolia had acquired the ferry, the Jean-Nicoli, to position itself for a solo bid for state ferry operator SNCM, which was being privatised. It ultimately made a successful joint bid and no longer needed the vessel.
