Ferries from Liverpool to Dublin could prove popular with gardening enthusiasts later this year when the Irish capital hosts Bloom 2009.
Bloom is described by the Dublin tourist board as "the largest and most spectacular gardening event in Ireland".
The festival proved hugely popular when it was held in 2007 and 2008 and is expected to attract more than 50,000 visitors when it is held at Phoenix Park from May 28th to June 1st this year.
More than 20 show gardens created by some of Ireland's leading horticultural experts will be presented at Bloom 2009, along with a number of entertainment stages and a family fun zone.
Visitors will also be able to see live cookery demonstrations and buy some locally produced fare at an Irish artisan food market.
Ferries from Liverpool to Dublin are provided by Norfolkline and P&O Ferries, while both
Irish Ferries and Stena Line operate Holyhead to Dublin ferry services.
