Families looking for a novel experience this Easter can catch cross channel ferries and visit the Loire Valley to take part in a chocolate egg hunt in a grand chateau.
Chateau de Brissac will host its annual Easter egg hunt on April 12th this year, giving parents and children the opportunity to wander through its scenic grounds hunting for 10,000 chocolate eggs.
The event will take place between 14:00 and 18:00 local time at a cost of 7.80 (£7) for adults and 2 for children under the age of 12.
As well as searching through the grounds of the castle, visitors can head inside to see its historic bedrooms, reception rooms and a theatre that was built in the 19th century.
Situated between the historic cities of Angers and Saumur, Chateau de Brissac has been home to dukes and other members of the French aristocracy since 1502.
Holidaymakers can make use of a number of ferry crossings to visit the Loire Valley, including the
