ferry was very good only thing i would say is the lack of open deck areas, didn't eat on board so can't review food bought wifi for son waste of £2 as couldn't get a good enough signal, so i'd say save your money

    Disappointed
    • Dover to Calais with P&O Ferries

Both trips checked in early, parked with no queues beside us, only to be left waiting to board and watch the then full lanes around us all go on before. Last on so no seats left, which on return journey, after driving for 12 hours would have been nice to sit comfortably, eat the food we had prepared to avoid the huge lines in the food hall, and rest before the next 3 hour stint of driving. The return was made worse with the added stress of a useless system ... cars not directed between check-ins and border controls so a free for all, resulting in what looked like a pile up as everyone tried to get to their relevant ferry and having to criss-cross between queues. Perhaps on approach to the port if traffic already filtered to appropriate carrier this would be easily avoided. For £30 extra should have booked the tunnel, sat in my more comfortable car for half an hour, reduced my journey time and not have contended with the chaos at Calais. Lesson learned ... the hard way, never again.

Good experience crossing to France and back
    • Dover to Calais with P&O Ferries

We had a good experience. The checking in on the UK side was quicker and better than in the French side but it could have been the time of the day. The facilities on board are reasonable and the experience overall was good. It was good that we had our own food. Overall all worked well.

    • Calais to Dover with P&O Ferries

This was our first time with this ferry. Only problem we had was that we had arrived extra early for check in as husband thought we may get on earlier ferry but no.Facilities in docks not brilliant but there was free wifi. Boarding was quick and trouble free. No wifi onboard unless you pay.Catering does not cater for gluten free so unless you bring your own food, your stuck. Seats are comfortable,no TVs to watch so bring a good book. If paying in euros the change will be in sterling. Unloading was quick and no hold ups. Will use them again.
