We were booked on the pride of kent at 11.10am. The boat was packed. There were not any places left to sit. We had a meal which was ok for the price but the eating area was dirty. The experience of the crossing wasn't enjoyable and we won't be traveling with P&O again. 8.2
Arrived a tad early got straight on a vessel. Clean, modern, well staffed, good food, everything to my crossing as pleasant as possible. Return journey likewise. Take note other ferry companies, this is how you do it. 2.0
Overcrowded ship, 30 club class seats for 2000 pax capacity, rushed off deck without being able to settle our pup and dog (the highest fare paying passengers of all) nowhere quiet to sit and enjoy a very fine day nowhere to relax ( much needed) had tried P and O as advertising led one to believe nice new ships, pleasant interlude would give this journey a heartfelelt -10 7.6
I turned up having made a fatal error with the booking ie Dover Calais return instead of Calais Dover return. This was corrected quickly at no charge and for the next Ferry. Excellent! Although the rep could not resist rubbing a little salt and telling me to read properly next time. But it was a hassle free change Thank you 2.0
There appeared to be a break-down. We queued at check-in for 2.5 hours but got no information on the breakdown. I believe a lorry ferry was pressed into service. There were queues of what seemed hundreds for refreshments but only BLT sandwiches were available (high fat, dangerous for me) and there was no hot food. The ferry was also dirty and overcrowded. We arrived an hour late (remarkable actually). As P&O would not tell us about the break down, and offered zero compensation, we'll travel with another company next time. |
