We were looking forward to travelling on the new 'Spirit of Britain'. It was so disappointing! Very poor layout of tables and chairs; so many stools! In the loos they were already showing signs of wear. The carpets were already looking dirty. Coffee was dreadful, and the croissants stodgy!! Dread to think what it will look like in a year's time. Large areas cordoned off. Do not think designed for the discerning traveller! Maybe should have tried the Club Lounge?? Bring back Sea France so sad they went. Maybe Eurotunnel next time. 7.0
booked on the 18.50, but arrived Calais at 1645...bit chaotic with the holding system for coaches on the old hovercraft base, quite slow to get pax checked, but checked in at 17.00 and got onto the 17.15-last coach on. Ferry had to be guided in to Dover due to swells but overall ok...2hrs journey, boat over busy really for the pax comfort. 10.0
We had an exceptional and pleasent journey with P&O, meal was very good value, all staff courteous & helpful. well recommended 2.8
We arrived two hours early in Dover and were offered to take an earlier boat for £60 extra. Quite a rip-off considering the boats were half full? Maybe the fact it was December 30th had something to do whit it? When we got on the boat the tables in the seating areas were filthy, I've never seen anything like this when travelling with Norfolkline (DFDS). I will avoid P&O in future. 9.8
We booked for car with 4 passengers but two were unable to come at last minute. My e-mail to advise this and ask if any charge for change was replied to very quickly, confirming no charge and no problem. We had a good jouney to Dover and arrived at 2.15pm, earlier than expected for 4.45pm ferry. We were booked in quickly and allowed to board 2.45pm ferry, which was very helpful and much appreciated. Helpfulness and flexibility of staff was excellent and P & O and aferry are to be congratulated. We will be more than happy to use them again. |
