The island of Paxi is situated just south of Corfu and is the smallest of the Greek Ionian Islands. Technically, it is a small group of islands where the town of Paxoi is the main municipality.
Although the port itself has relatively few facilities, there are shops and restaurants within an easy walking distance of the main port.
The island is relatively small and finding the main town, Paxoi, should prove to be no problem. From there, the port is well signposted and pretty central.
Paxi was said to be created by the Greek god Poseidon striking Corfu with his Trident.
