Calais disruption June 30th 2015

AFerry.co.uk is informing clients via a full ferry alert on the website that if they are hoping to travel to or from Calais, the Port of Calais is once again closed until further notice due to strike action by MyFerryLink employees. At this stage it is thought to be likely to be closed for two or three days.

If clients are booked to travel with DFDS, the company advises to leave more time to reach the port of Dover as access is difficult, as one may expect.  There are no Calais crossings.  There are services to Dunkirk from Dover otherwise to Dieppe from Newhaven.  All Calais services are being diverted. If clients are travelling from Calais then head for Dunkirk for the return crossing.  Again - congestion is inevitable so please allow plenty of time.

If clients are booked to travel with P&O the company has had to suspend services for the time being so passengers are asked to either cancel their reservations or rebook for future crossings.  P&O will inform passengers as soon as they know that ferry crossings will be resumed to and from Calais.

If clients are travelling with Eurotunnel then services are also affected due to disruption at the French end of the Tunnel and so are currently suspended.

AFerry.co.uk advises customers to keep updated with the latest news on the situation as it is pretty fluid and can change quite quickly. AFerry.co.uk offer all alternative routes to France via the website.
