Rhodes is the largest island Dodecanese islands and the second largest Greek island. The capital city, Rhodes Town, is situated at the northern tip of the island. Rhodes Town has a rich history and many places of interest, including the remnants of the 14th century occupation by the Knights of St John. In 1988 the Medieval Town of Rhodes was designated as a World Heritage City.
