Sassnitz ferry port is located on the eastern side of the isle of Ruegen. The Ferry Port of Sassnitz offers the shortest and fastest connection from Germany to Sweden, Russia and the Baltic States.
Sassnitz is a popular resort town with a population of approximately 11,000 inhabitants. Sassnitz has many popular attractions including the HMS Otus floating museum and the Ruegen zoo.

By Car
Take the A19 from Berlin and exit at Rostock-Ost. Then head for Stralsund on the B105, finally follow the B96 to Sassnitz/Mukran on the island of Ruegen.
By Bus
Line 20 (Rügener Personen-Nahverkehr) leaves every half hour from the stop at Dubnitz, about 2 km from the harbour.
By Rail
There is around 6 km between the harbour and the train station of Sassnitz.
Local trains between Sassnitz and Stralsund leave every hour.
By Taxi
