The small ski resort of La Chapelle d'Abondance is part of the Portes du Soleil Ski Area, which connects France and Switzerland in over 650km of ski slopes. La Chapelle d'Abondance is situated only 66km from Geneva, and is positioned at a fairly low altitude. At just over 1000m, the skiing can become a bit sparse towards the end of the ski season; however the resort is perfect for all ski levels, especially families with young children.
Self drive holidays to La Chappelle are made easy due to the proximity of Geneva (60km) and excellent network of motorways in the region.
Ski La Chapelle d'Abondance - Piste and Lift Information
La Chapelle d'Abondance itself has over 75km of ski runs, however you can purchase a ski pass which will provide you with access the whole Portes du Soleil ski region, including the popular resorts of Abondance, Avoriaz, Châtel, La Grande Terche, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine, Saint Jean d'Aulps, Champoussin, Champéry, Les Crosets, Morgins and Torgon.
