I recently travelled to guernsey for a short two night stop to from jersey, I travelled with Condor and have to say the crossing was very smooth and the staff on the boat were very pleasant and helpful. I will definatly use Condor again soon. 8.0
All went smoothly from check in and including the crossing both ways. Left on time and arrived on time both ways. 4.0
From the minute the Agent rang me to inform us that the Ferry we were booked on had been cancelled, I felt uneasy about the trip. I was not wrong. We were offered alternative ferries, we chose the one we left on, but found out at St Malo that we were going to have to change ferries at Jersey, and also stop at Guernsey! This had not been mentioned when offered alternatives. Consequently, the journey ended up in Poole just before midnight with a 3-4 hour drive to go. Had to find a hotel to stay over to be fresh to drive (not an easy option at midnight.) Eventually booked in at Fareham just before 1am! We found the facilities on board to be limited to say the least, and the food, well that was just about edible and served by a surly elderly man wearing a soiled pinafore. As for the coffee. Disgusting hot slurry! Fortunately, the return journey was OK and we knew what to expect, though the food and coffee had not improved. Will not use this route again, EVER! 10.0 |
