    • Cherbourg to Dublin with Irish Ferries

Very kind and helpful staff. Only a restaurant inside for 19hs and no wifi connection at rooms, but the rest was very good.

    Very enjoyable ferry trip
    • Pembroke to Rosslare with Irish Ferries

Facilities are wonderful and the ferry is huge. Staff were very friendly and the onboard shopping was great. Unfortunately there was next to no vegetation options in the café.

    Avoid unless no other option
    • Rosslare to Cherbourg with Irish Ferries

My main complaint with Irish Ferries is the lack of true customer care/service shown by their customer support desk and their overrated overpriced cabins on Oscar Wilde. I booked a four star four berth cabin at the cost of 209.95 Euros one way, total fare one way 373 Euros. One day before sailing I noticed an advert for a cabin sale listing my cabin at half of what I paid. I contacted their customer support explaining how unfair I felt that was. I was met with little sympathy. Having completed our outward journey and having discovered that four star on Irish Ferries equates to about two star or less in reality I was sure that the two star booked for return would be totally inadequate I contacted them again to ask for an upgrade. I had already paid 84 euros and as the four star was advertised now at 109 I thought I could pay the difference. What a shock when they said no the price to me would still be 209 euros?! Only after repeated emails did they offer me some discount but I still had to pay an extra 49 euros! The cabin was grubby and old fashioned. A really good clean wouldn't go amiss. A hotel room at the same price would also include breakfast. I will in future fly to France and hire a car.
