    Short break
    • Rosslare to Pembroke with Irish Ferries

We love travelling on the Isle of inishmore to the UK the staff are always there to help u whit whatever you need. Club class is lovely where you have a birds eye view of everything. Over all we always have a lovely time when travelling with irish ferries

    Happy holidays
    • Pembroke to Rosslare with Irish Ferries

Swift check in and boarding but found the ship internally cold and unless you paid for a cabin there was a lack of comfortable seating to sleep. Would travel with Irish ferries again but only because they seem to be the only ones proving a service. We travelled from Hampshire which was a 5 hour journey, pity your service doesn't run nearer the south coast. Would use your company again but only because you seem to be the only ones running to south Ireland.

    Ferry awful.
    • Rosslare to Pembroke with Irish Ferries

If you travel by car to Ireland ferries are a necessary evil. They could be such a good experience but so often tend to be mediocre at best and unpleasant at worst. Much could be done to improve travel by ferry if the onboard experience was better. Ferry companies seem to think that a few noisy games machines, television screens at every opportunity and the offer of overpriced tasteless food should keep the travellers happy. What about quiet comfortable seating to relax and have a nap and some good quality restaurants which would make use of the time and fortify the traveller for their onward journey. Booking on line takes even longer than the days when we booked on the phone. Prices are honed down and all the companies charge the same amount. It is impossible to shop around as the ferry companies have it all sewn up. Where in the past you could make major savings by choosing your time of year or week or day prices now are more or less the same whenever you travel.

    Good Crossing
    • Pembroke to Rosslare with Irish Ferries

Food and on boat purchases very expensive. The food not great, but staff very polite and helpful, in all good trip. the kids loved it, I find if the kids are happy then that makes for an easier crossing.

    Heaven and Hell
    • Dublin to Holyhead with Irish Ferries

Going to Dublin we sailed on Ulysses - we came back on Epsilon - and the difference was enormous. The 3 star ratings are an average of 5 stars in one direction but 1 star in the other. On Ulysses we upgraded to the Club Lounge, which was very comfortable and well worth it for the wine and snacks - that was Heaven. On Epsilon there was no Club Lounge, only an uncomfortable cafe with screaming kids. You have been warned. If you are only offered Epsilon, then we suggest you should not go with Irish Ferries.
