We traveled to Ireland with another ferry service - to gain an opportunity to compare them. Irish ferry had an immediate 'Wow-effect' - and it like being in a hotel, whereas on Stena Line it felt rather cold and old and the signposting has room for improvement. The toilets weren't as nice unless one uses the ones next to restaurant, which were small but nice. 6.8
The checking in procedure before entering the ship was very unpleasant, lasted much to Long with unfriendly staff. A served breakfast possibility would have been a lot better vs the buffet style. The outboardroom was very good and quiet 10.0
Very comfortable, no problems whatsoever, everything went like clockwork, would use Stena Line over other ferries in future. 8.8 7.8
We arrived easily to the port facility in Oslo. After a relatively short wait at a modern facility including a toilet for babies, we boarded the ferry under the instruction of the staff. We went up to our cabin and found it quite confortable, with our private toilet comprising a shower. The cabin was clean and the beds confortable and spacious. Before going to sleep, we visited the upper deck for some dinner. There was a grocery store where the traveller can secure a wide range of goods. Though there was a WiFi service on board it did not work very well. The following morning we arrived with a one hour delay but it did not bother us much as we could still have an early start driving in Denmark. Good value for money and quite convenient for drivers who wish to rest well before a long drive ahead. |
