At Swansea port's terminal there are a number of handy facilities you can use before embarking onto your ferry.
Travelling from the east take junction 42 on the M4 and follow the A483 to Swansea, you will see signs for 'ferries' as you approach the port. From the west exit on junction 47 of the M4 and follow the A483 to Swansea, passing through the city and following signs for 'ferries' once through the centre.
Swansea station is 2 miles away from the port, with good connections to the UK rail network.
Mumbles Head is a rock formation and tourist resort situated off to one side of Swansea. If I were to tell you that it comes from the French word mamelles, meaning 'breasts', you could probably work out why it got this name when you look at the rocks.
You should also take time to sample Welsh Rarebit and Welsh Cakes, both of which will melt in your mouth and leave you craving for more.
