About Agaete

Agaete Port is located on the North-West side of the island of Gran Canaria, just outside the main city of Agaete in Puerto de las Nieves ferry terminal. Agaete is a small town on the north-west coast of Gran Canaria. It has the nearest port to Tenerife, and ferries with Fred Olsen take around an hour to reach the island. The town itself is a small quite town with a couple of stoney beaches.

Agaete is a small town, with few facilities at the port. However, there are restaurants by the port for you to relax in and eat or drink at before your ferry ride to Tenerife. Getting to Agaete port

If you are travelling by car then Agaete is easily reachable from any town on the island. From the popular tourists towns of Las Palmas and Puerto Rico, you can take the GC-1 and GC-2 all the way around the island.

If you are heading via public transport, then you can catch the 103 bus towards Las Palmas, or the 101 bus for Aldea de San Nicolás. The buses can be caught every hour and take between 50 minutes and 1 hour 15 minutes.
