About Barcelona

Barcelona is the capital of Spain's Catalonia region, and is one of the Spain's, or even Europe's, most beautiful and vibrant cities. Barcelona is a city of contrasts, which is evident in its architecture, a marriage of Gothic spikes and modern curves, including the famous - Sagrada Familia.

Barcelona is divided into two parts. The old city, which is the heart of the city, includes shopping, cafes and museums. Then there's Port Vell, which features bars, restaurants, shops, an IMAX theatre and the largest aquarium in Europe, not too far from the main Barcelona ferry port.

About Ibiza

The sobriety of the cathedral, the Renaissance city walls, and the labyrinth of small streets that surround it, contrast with the cheerful and cosmopolitan atmosphere of the port, especially during summer nights, and have rightly contributed to the fame of the island.

One of the main appeals for the visitors of the island is its 18 kilometers of beaches and creeks, from the most developed to the most virgin. Ibiza is a very popular tourist destination, especially due to its legendary nightlife.

    Basic but functional
    • I had the misfortune to travel on the first day of a change of dock for the boat. Unfortunately the check in staff advised me to go to the old boarding gate not the new one two miles away. We were then escorted in convoy through Barcelona to the boat another two miles away. Crazy. When you have no Spanish that makes life difficult. On our return the boat docked at the new terminal so I assume things will be a bit better now. This is basically a freight boat that takes some cars. Ok and functional but basic.

    A little dissapointed
    • The tickets are way too expensive considering that there were a lot of bed bugs eating us while sleeping. Staff was friendly.

Summer '13- I was most unimpressed and would not recommend or use this route again
    • I travelled to Ibiza from Barcelona in peak season. I thought the staff on board were quite unfriendly and sometimes rude. The food on board was rather limited for such a long ferry journey and the cabins were vastly over priced in comparison to other ferry companies that i have travelled with. I was most unimpressed and would not recommend or use this route again.
