About Cesenatico

Cesenatico is a port town on the Adriatic coast of Italy in the region of Emilia-Romagna, about 30 kilometres south of Ravenna. This picturesque historical center, retains the atmosphere of an old fishermans village, with a and well equipped sandy beach. There are two big parks one of which Giardini al Mare is a lively place where people can sunbathe and rest.

The town is a favourite of cyclists with many international cycling events held there mainly during spring. In one of the many typical restaurants facing the Canal Harbour, designed by Leonardo da Vinci you can taste the local speciality of Adriatic blue fish. A hand-printed cloth, a characteristic local craft is a favourite purchase with tourists. Places of interest in the area include, the city of Ravenna (34 km), a world heritage site and the Mirabilandia amusement park in Savio (20 km); Rimini and its coast (15 km).
