    Rough crossing
    • We returned to Newhaven on the 6.00 ferry from Dieppe on Sunday 29th September. The sea conditions were very rough and while the staff on board were obviously helping passengers the announcements were not very informative. I think they could have been more specific to that crossing. At one stage there was a loud bang, which sounded like we had hit something, but there was no explanation. It was somewhat ironic to hear an announcement towards the end of the journey hoping we had had an enjoyable trip!

    Efficient and reliable service
    • Check in and out either went without delay. Comfortable seating and facilities. This crossing is good value for money and will now be our regular route.

    Relaxing and efficient
    • Our journey with DFDS was easy from booking our trip to coming home. The cost is reasonable and we were comfortable in our cabin. The hot drinks and snack cost was high but we should have bought our own. A good trip in all.

    Good apart from pet facilities
    • It is a good option travelling with DFDS (been travelling with them a few times) but usually I prefer the Shuttle basically because of the lack of pet facilities. Would be nice to have an area designed to stay with your pet and-or cages where you can visit them. Leaving the dog in the car for 4h is not a big deal but I would rather been able to check them.

    September hols
    • Overall all went very well apart from coming off the ferry and going through the customs which took well over an hour after arriving.
