The kingdom of Man is a mystical island located at the geographical centre of the British Isles in the middle of the Irish Sea. The island is well connected to both Britain and Ireland, with daily departures from Douglas Ferry Port to Liverpool, Liverpool Birkenhead, Heysham, Dublin and Belfast. All Douglas ferries can be booked through AFerry
The island of Man measures just 33 miles by 13 but within these shores there is a wealth of discoveries to be made. It is a very different island, with its own legal system and the world's oldest continuous parliament - Tynwald.
The main port of Douglas has experienced changes with the construction of a second link span. This elevated passenger walkway was built on reclaimed land during the nineties to provide up-to-date facilities for the new design of conventional and fast roll on - roll off ferries now operating to the island.
Liverpool Ferry Port is one of UK's major passenger and freight ports and covers both banks of the River Mersey. It offers ferries to the Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and Ireland, all of which can be booked through AFerry.
Liverpool, with its famous waterfront on the River Mersey, is besides a great shipping port also an industrial center. King John launched it on its road to glory when he granted it a charter in 1207. Before that, it had been a tiny 12th-century fishing village, but it quickly became a port for shipping men and materials to Ireland.
The City of Liverpool has been undergoing a massive redevelopment as in 2008 Liverpool is European Capital of Culture.

03 Jul 2016Terrible
Awful trip. Wifi was not working. Although I understand the rough ride could not be helped. The loose gate at the side and the lack of control from staff to deal with passengers being disturbing was awful.

25 Jun 2016Good experience
Wonderful journey, very comfortable and enjoyable! The only negative is the lack of wifi which could have been useful in making the journey a little shorter than it appeared to be.
