    Poor Service Information
    • Ferry to Poole from Guernsey was cancelled and only found out when booking out of hotel and was informed by the receptionist of cancellation. Was fortunate that hotel had availability and able to re-book a room. Only later contacted by Condor to advise of cancellation and option of an overnight ferry to Portsmouth and the cost of a £120 overnight cabin. Consider this to be a very poor service by Condor when it was discovered that the ferry had been cancelled the previous evening and the time that it took to be advised of the situation.

Ferry late so missed train to London
    • The fast ferry became simply the ferry as it had engine problems( again) so we missed our booked train from Poole to London eventually getting to our destination after midnight rather than the planned 9 pm to join our friends for a late dinner. Surely they could fix the engine problems which appear to be recurrent according to recent past history. But you fly at some enormous cost or use condor ferry to get to Guernsey. No other choice.

    Not great for cyclists
    • Staff did well to cope with excess numbers of people at check in (clashing St Malo ferry and kids half term). However as cyclists, it is quite stressful to be directed to squeeze between cars with our bikes and bags (with the car drivers getting angry at US for that) and then wait for ages to board and unload in amongst fumes of all the cars. On our outboard route (Poole to Jersey) the poor design of bicycle area on the boat meant a load of other bikes had collapsed on top of ours making it hard to extract them (not great for the bikes either!). Would be great to be segregated from the cars and fumes and angry car drivers and have a better on-board bicycle area. Thanks.
