Check in with a vehicle is stated as being one hour beforehand. However if you have booked via aferry then you do have to park up and collect your boarding cards in the terminal, prior to being allowed into the loading area. Worth bearing in mind if it is a busy occasion, such as a public holiday. Trasmediterranea are very well organised and the ship was clean and tidy. There are no frills but there is a restaurant serving good food and drinks and the reclining seats in the lounge are comfortable. The seats down both sides of the lounge have euro electric sockets and an usb power point. Both sectors of my trip arrived on time.

It was a 5 hour day trip but didn't have any catering... a few donuts at the bar. Take something to eat with you.
