Check-in great but disorganized staff onboard
Check in was great on two ways. Onboard the staff was not friendly at all. There were kids running and throwing balls all over the ship making noise, crashing against other people and bags and nobody cared. I pay with Dihars with one if my sons and when my older son tried the same they told him that he need to pay with Euros... The exit process was totally disorganized...

Avoid this route if you're a foot passenger!
There is no doubt it is very cheap, but this is obviously for a reason. The check-in process was a debacle and took forever (with other passengers getting understandably very impatient). The guy couldn't make head or tail of our booking. Then there was the fact that the ferry inexplicably left exactly an hour after the set departure time on both the outward and return journey. Finally, we were dropped off at "Tanger Med" which is 50 kms from Tangier itself! I would strongly recommend that people to only get ferries to 'Tanger Ville' if they're a foot passenger.

We went from Tanger Med to Algeciras and back with the same ship. My only complaint is that there was no matching train to Tanger to catch an earlier train to Rabat. Everything else was good for the price, the ferry trip was interesting, the staff helpful and welcoming, so I would recommend this trip to any budget traveller.

Canceled even though they had confirmed departure 2 hours before
When we got to the port to catch the 11am boat, they told us it was cancelled. We had to take a train from Algeciras to Madrid and were forced to buy tickets from another company and Inter Shipping refused to refund. We have put a claim with the Spanish authorities. This happened at 10.20am and at 10.45 they were still selling tickets for that departure on internet.
