About Jersey

Like the other Channel Islands, Jersey is far closer to Normandy - France, than it is to England. The Channel Islands are officially British although in many respects they have their own sovereignty.

Jersey combines stunning scenery and a rich heritage with a wide range of tourist attractions. As a result, the island has been a popular tourist destination and has mainly visitors coming from France and Britain.

The beaches on Jersey cater for all types from St. Brelade's Bay with it's 'touristy' appeal to Anne Port, Beauport, and Petit Port offering a more secluded and quiet location. Jersey is sometimes the hottest place in the UK and offers much for the holidaymaker in it's rich mix of indigenous, British and French culture.VAT doesn't exist in Jersey, so the shopping in Jersey is duty free.

About Guernsey

The climate in Guernsey consists of mild winters and cool sunny summers, the hottest months usually being August and September with an average temperature of 20°C.

The island is ideal for sports enthusiasts and nature lovers, with a wide range of activities such as surfing, wind-surfing, scuba-diving, cycling, horse riding and much, much more.

    Jersey to Guernsey by sea.
    • Having spent a week in Jersey, we needed to get to Guernsey to continue our holiday. Having compared the airfare with the ferry price it was a no brainer. The ferry was quick and with the added bonus of being able to walk around, get some food and do some shopping.

Condor ferry Jersey to Guernsey , Jersey to St Malo
    • Condor could take a good look at the airline industry who seem to load and unloads passengers with much greater efficiency. Food could be greatly improved, it is low end grease van currently.
