Like the other Channel Islands, Jersey is far closer to Normandy - France, than it is to England. The Channel Islands are officially British although in many respects they have their own sovereignty.
Jersey combines stunning scenery and a rich heritage with a wide range of tourist attractions. As a result, the island has been a popular tourist destination and has mainly visitors coming from France and Britain.
The beaches on Jersey cater for all types from St. Brelade's Bay with it's 'touristy' appeal to Anne Port, Beauport, and Petit Port offering a more secluded and quiet location. Jersey is sometimes the hottest place in the UK and offers much for the holidaymaker in it's rich mix of indigenous, British and French culture.VAT doesn't exist in Jersey, so the shopping in Jersey is duty free.
Portsmouth is Britain's only island city, situated on the Portsea Island. The docklands area of Portsmouth have long been important for the Royal Navy (and, incidentally, home to the world's oldest dry dock) and there are a variety our walking and boat tours which will give you an insight into the city's past. The waterfront has recieved much needed renovation in the last decade. One result is the Spinnaker Tower which can be clearly viewed as you enter the port.

15 Sep 2012Why is the reclining seat area kept fridge cold..........
We sat in the reclining seat area and almost froze. As it had been so nice in England my husband started off in shorts and a t shirt. By the time we arrived he had on jeans, a shirt, a short sleeved anorak, and finally several blankets! He doesn't normally feel the cold. We asked the woman looking after the area to turn the temperature up before we started but she declined to do so. In fact after most of the people in the area asked for the temperature to be raised it was. But only about 30 minutes out of St Helier. Disgraceful. My recommendation is based on the fact that there is no alternative.

03 Jan 2012Poor value for reclining seats
Paid for better reclining seats, however area was cold with smokers leaving the door open and their smoke blowing back into the cabin, became very frustrating having to wear a jumper and coat inside to facilitate the ignorant actions of the puffers. Stop them as on aircraft or at least find somewhere that they don't have an impact on others.

02 Sep 2011fantastic sea trip
thank you for a great trip back to the UK -- we arrived in the UK refreshed from our trip in France. the ability to have a cabin was the selling point for us so once again thank you and we will certainly recommend your services to our Australian family and friends. it was our friends in Jersey who advised us of the ferry service instead of flying and were glad that they did!

03 Jul 2011Glastonbury Trip
It was the first time any of us had used the overnight ferry and we were very impressed. The cabin was great and meant we got a good nights sleep before getting up in the morning and driving onward to Glastonbury. The Cabin had a shower too which meant we were all fresh for our journey. Breakfast too was really good and included in the cabin price - what more can you want?!
