Ferries to and from Lochaline
Caledonian MacBrayne (CalMac) Ferries operates small, environmentally friendly hybrid vessels for sailings from Lochaline. Facilities on board are limited as the journey time is short.
Lochaline port facilities
Very close to the port you will find public toilets, and a snack bar serving hot and cold food and beverages. The Lochaline shop is situated just 80 metres from the port and has a cash machine.
Getting to Lochaline Port
You can reach Lochaline from Fort William taking the A830, A861 and A884.
The 502 is a limited service connecting Lochaline to Fort William with a journey time of approximately 1 hour 36 minutes. There is a bus shelter close to the ferry port.
Lochaline is popular with divers as it is well placed to visit the Sound of Mull, a deep strait with diverse sea life to explore. Diving, snorkelling and boat trips are all available from Lochaline.
