Malaga Port

Malaga is the major coastal city of Andalusia and is a genuine and typical Andalusian city with a gritty individualism untouched by tourism and, to a large extent, the passage of time. Malaga also has the remnants of a passenger ferry port, although nowadays there's a service only to the Spanish enclave of Melilla in Morocco. If you're heading for Fes and eastern Morocco, this is a useful connection - particularly so for taking a car over. The crossing takes seven hours. All ferries from Malaga can be booked through AFerry

Once they let me on the boat it was pretty great
    • Overall I was satisfied with the ferry service. I showed up a bit later than I should have trying to catch the ferry due to the general impreciseness of arrival times promised by moroccan bus companies. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed on the boat and had to watch it sail away even though it was docked. However, the next day I was able to change my ticket for free and the service on the boat was good as was the facilities.
