Mantoudi is a small town in the north of Evia Island, which is connected by bridges to mainland Greece. Mantoudi is a passage town, as it sits on the road to popular tourist resorts in Evia Island, and is the location of the ferry port with connections to the Greek islands of Skiathos and Skopelos.
Evia island is the second largest of the Greek Islands after Crete, and has many archaelogical sites having been inhabited by Greeks, Romans, Ottomans and Albanians.
About the Sporades Islands
Of the 24 beautiful islands that make up the Sporades off the east coast of Greece, only 4 are fully inhabited; Alonnisos, Skiathos, Skopelos and Skyros, each with their own unique feel and culture.
Sunbathing and swimming are the main things to do on the islands because of their gorgeous beaches and year-round Mediterranean sun. From the fruit trees and olive groves of Skopelos to the beautiful little villages of Alonnisos, the Sporades Islands are some of the most intriguing European islands to discover.
