19 Oct 2013Smooth journey
We travelled on the midweek (Weds) overnight ferry in October. As it was a quieter time to travel to Corsica, the ferry was not busy. Overall a smooth journey. Easy and efficient embarkation and disembarkation. No queues for the restaurant but wouldn't recommend. We were disappointed with the quality of the food and only appeared to be a set price menu. Cabin was comfortable but on the hot side and no way to adjust the temperature. We were confused by the aFerry online paperwork that suggested we needed to collect our tickets from the port of departure yet there did not appear to be an SNCM ticket office/terminal. We then embarked without tickets (just the online aFerry confirmation) and so perhaps aFerry should review their instructions to passengers departing from Marseille on this?

19 Oct 2013Holiday to Corsica - The Monte D'ora was dirty and smelly
The boat the Monte D'ora was dirty and smelly and also because it was low season there was only a very expensive a la carte restairant to eat in. There were very dangerous bunks with no guard rail on the top. Marseille makes the M25 look like a country lane and we had great difficulty finding the ferry as there were inadequte signs. However we took another boat on the way back, the Pacal Paoli from Calvi and it was lovely.

13 Jun 2012SNCM ferry from Marseille to Ile Rousse
Getting to the port was fairly difficult - half hour's queue to get off the autoroute from the west. Then on arrival we were directed back to a new departure point. The ship was old although the cabin was clean and comfortable. There was very little food in the bar and what there was left was fairly inedible. The seats were uncomfortable
