Ginostra is a small village set in a natural amphitheatre in the southwest region of Stromboli, in the Aeolian Islands. The area is unique in that there are no motor vehicles or roads, making the village peaceful and calming. Until 2004, the village had no electricity or running water.
Ginostra is a popular destination for hikers visiting the volcano, and for people interested in boating and fishing trips. The tranquillity makes Ginostra perfect for a relaxing break, away from the hustle and bustle found in many popular tourist destinations.

The Aeolian Islands did not disappoint and the means of transport too. Island-hopping made easy, speedy and with an amenable crew.

The Liberty Libes website was down for maintenance so I was pleased that I was able to use AFerry to book our tickets. We had a tight schedule and needed to ensure we had our hydrofoil tickets so we could confirm all other arrangements. By the way, why do you not include Milazzo to Stromboli when that was the service we used? It calls at Ginostra but that is not the final destination.
