Mykonos is a very cosmopolitan island, made famous in the last few decades by the international jet set visitors that spend their holidays on the island. Mykonos is a great place to see Greek and international celebrities. Some people think you have not really seen what Greece has to offer until you visit Mykonos.
Mykonos has a great night life with many discos and bars throughout the island along with some beautiful sandy beaches. All in all Mykonos is a friendly little picturesque town with beautiful white houses, narrow stone paths and windmills along with many interesting museums and town centres.
Mykonos also offers a variety of cuisines to cater to the large influx of international tourists along with local Greek delicacies and also offers a host of beautiful accommodation facilities and resorts.
Naxos, the largest of the Greek Cyclades islands, lies in the centre of the Aegean Sea. Naxos is a unique island that has escaped mass tourism, despite its beauty and long history. Evidence shows that man has lived on Naxos since the 4th millennium B.C.
Naxos is home to stunning scenery, from the beautiful white beaches and sand dunes covered in cedar trees, to the impressive mountains and fertile valleys further inland.
The main town of Naxos is Hora (also known as Naxos town), in the north of the island, which offers all the modern amenities you would expect from a sizeable town. Hora is home to the Ferry Port of Naxos, which is surrounded by seafront cafés and bars from which you can enjoy the view out to sea.

19 Apr 2018Chaos at port
When we arrived at the port with scores of others at 9am on Aprl 7th there was absolutely no information that the ferry had been cancelled due to high winds. When we crossed the port to the Hellenic office it was not the office for Hellenic but they said we would have to walk to the other port in Mykonos to the Hellenic office (10 minutes away). We, and others, who still had no information from Hellenic did this. When we arrived we joined a queue. No-one offered information and messages about what was going on were passed back down the queue. We queued for at least 30 minutes before we were seen by the one official on duty who told us that the next ferry, at 10 o'clock, would run (even though there was no change in wind conditions) and that it was full. We would have to find a hotel for the night as there were no other ferries available because it was Easter. We were given tickets for the following morning. We had to find two hotel rooms at a cost of 250 Euros.
