    Fine until disembarkation
    • Checking in at Palermo port was a bit chaotic. On board when we were called for disembarkation (which was 45 minutes to an hour too soon) we went to a lounge where there were too many people and not enough seats. The call should have been delayed for say 30 - 45 minutes to avoid the crush.

    Good value for money
    • If you are thinking of driving north through Italy or getting the ferry, it is well worth getting the ferry. Cabins clean and comfortable, ferry good, staff busy but friendly. The only down side was the loading and unloading which was somewhat chaotic.

    Could do better
    • Check in was a nightmare. No indication of where you should go. Enormous lorries being made to turn round. Being shouted at by officials for not moving where they told us to when it was unclear what they were trying to tell us. Once on boat all ok. Very nice lady in cafeteria was helpful. Good size comfortable cabin. Big delay getting into Genoa port which made us late for a dinner we were due to attend.

    Average trip
    • Check in staff at Palermo were rude and barked that we should come back at 6pm to check in as we were too early. I heard them doing the same with Italian people. Facilities at Palermo port are atrocious, 1 dirty bar with rude staff and a dirty toilet with no light or toilet paper. Onboard is basic. The buffet food is cold and sub standard. The pet friendly cabin is superb, clean, warm, with a good shower. Overall, good value for money and an opportunity for a good rest before a long drive.

    Good value
    • A very pleasant experience. We travelled with 2 dogs and opted for an outside cabin. It was very clean, comfy beds and had good facilities. Staff on board where helpful and welcoming even with the language barrier. We would recommend using this service. We travelled from Sicily to Genoa and overall we had a very relaxing trip and we was left refreshed for our ongoing journey to the UK.
