The island of Phangan is located in the Gulf of Thailand and is part of the archipelago of Samui with Samui Island to the South and Tao Island to the North.

Phangan is a wonderful destination that was selected on numerous occasions by the ancient kings of Thailand to spend their holidays. About Phangan

Phangan (Koh Pha-ngan) is an island in the Gulf of Thailand in southeast Thailand. Koh Pha-ngan featured prominently in Alex Garland's novel The Beach and is well-known for its Full Moon Party, a monthly dance music festival set on Haad Rin Nok Beach in the south of the island every month. The beaches in the south of Koh Pha-ngan are beautiful and great for swimming and in general the beaches in the south are rockier than the ones in the north.
