20 Aug 2015too busy and a bit chaotic
The trip was fine. However, both the arrival in the ship and the arrival at Olbia were not properly managed. Inside the ship there were people everywhere. It was hard to find proper sits We arrive with two hours of delay.. there was no explanation of the reason for such a delay

03 Oct 2013piombino-olbia with moby: not a good idea
Only one day in advance of my trip Piombino-Olbia, I was informed (by mail, not even by phone) that the ship was 'broken'. The alternitive offered embarked from a different city (Livorno)! and left 4 hours earlier. In the end we were able to go on a freight ship, which took double the amount of time to get to Olbia and had no on-board facilities. On the return trip, the ship did leave from the right city, but arrived an hour late at the destination. The on board catering was extremely expensive: 4 euro's for a few bad french fries, 3 euro 50 for a beer etc. I do not recommand Moby to anyone. We did like Corsica Ferries.

02 Jul 2013Good
I have one complaint and that made me very sad and a bit angry. 3 weeks before my jurney, I tried to change the date of going back from Olbia to Piombino for 2 days, becouse of family emergency and it would had cost me the whole new return ticket...no other options, So i bought a new return ticket at Corsica Ferries and was much cheaper.. next time I will travel with them...

Limited facilities spaces, specially for kids. Internet very slow. No space for rest in a trip that takes almost 5 hours.

14 Jul 2011Journey time 1 hour longer than advertised both ways !!!!!
Journey time was 1 hour longer than advertised - supposed to take 4h30mins (according to booking confirmation) took 5hours 30 mins both ways. This is misleading and may have influenced choice of route and operator. Checkin advertised was 90 minutes in advance (mandatory) - totally unnecesarry, 60 mins OK and probably even 45 mins as we did not start loading until 15mins prior to departure. Departure was on time though so loading very efficient and unloading too. Food choices very limited as restaurants only open at 'meal times' not acknowledging that some people just need to eat and that sometimes a croissant /panini is not enough. Very poor and unnecesarry music entertainment in main saloon for one hour - difficult to escape due to lack of seating in other areas. Total waste of money and would prefer this to be removed - no-one was interested at 11am or even 6pm.
