    Just another ferry trip
    • The trip took 11 hours and was overnight. There were 3 of us and we booked a cabin. The cabin was fine and clean. The ferry made about 3 stops on the way so with all of the announcements sleep was very intermittent. We ate at the cafeteria which had surprisingly good food. For the cost I would suggest flying which costs about the same and is only 50 minutes although you would need to take a bus or taxi from the airport to Kos town or whereever you are going. Going back to Athens I took the bus from Kos to the airport for 3.20 euros and the trip was 1 hour long.

    Pleasant Sailing
    • I have travelled from Ireland by car,I took two other ferries, and the previous trip on Minoen Ferries was ok,but the staff are not all so friendly and welcoming. But when I got to Piraeus, and boarded the Bluestar ferry to Kos,I was pleasantly surprised with the genuine warmth of all the staff. The value for money was far better than previously encountered, although, maybe if we take in to account that the price of the ferry ticket is higher, but none the less,it was a pleasurable trip

Blue Star 1 Pireaus to Kos
    • The inability to get a ferry timetable for four months after making my plane reservation and accommodation in Kalymnos is unacceptable. You need to know ferry timetables at the time of booking your airplane. No vegetarian food is available at the cafe except cheese on toast and chips. There is no fish available. The engines vibrate so much my husband barely slept. The actual reservation was good.
