About Plymouth

With its impressive natural harbour, Plymouth has long been an important site for British naval history. It was from Plymouth that the England Navy set sail in the 15th century to defeat the approaching Spanish Armada, an event that is still celebrated in many of Plymouth's museums.

About Roscoff

Roscoff is well connected to UK and Ireland and thereby aids the development of tourism and revive the traditional trading routes between them.

Roscoff is a charming little seaside town with 16th century granite houses, small specialist shops and bars and restaurants. Roscoff is a perfect place to be to if you like to enjoy a quiet holiday by the seaside, as the town maintains a relatively low key apart from the old harbour and the rue Gambetta.

Roscoff benefits from a mild climate throughout the year because of the Gulf Stream and also because it is shielded by Ile de Batz island. Some of the attractions in Roscoff apart from the beautiful beaches (one of the best is the Laber beach about 1Km away from the old harbour) are the Jardin Exotique (the tropical garden), Notre Dame de Croatz Batz (church) and the Aquarium.

Brittany's sea is known for its healing properties and hence a visit to the region's oldest Thalassotherapy centre established in 1899 is worthwhile.

    Highly recommend
    • Take the Ferry to Roskoff! You won't be disappointed. We traveled overnight and had a good nights sleep in a spotless cabin. Returning to Plymouth during the day, my family with young children thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment provided, while I caught up on sleep. However, sleep was not to be had in the cabin first allotted as I could hear the entertainment. I was given another cabin without question, far away from noise intrusion. I was much obliged. All Brittany Ferry staff were courteous and helpful. Thanks to all.

    Very full
    • Got the crossing at an amazing price. No cabins left so seats were reserved but they were miles apart. We ended up on the floor in a corner and slept quite well. All ok for the price.
