Roscoff is a charming little seaside town with 16th century granite houses, small specialist shops and bars and restaurants. Roscoff is a perfect place to be to if you like to enjoy a quiet holiday by the seaside, as the town maintains a relatively low key apart from the old harbour and the rue Gambetta.
Roscoff benefits from a mild climate throughout the year because of the Gulf Stream and also because it is shielded by Ile de Batz island. Some of the attractions in Roscoff apart from the beautiful beaches (one of the best is the Laber beach about 1Km away from the old harbour) are the Jardin Exotique (the tropical garden), Notre Dame de Croatz Batz (church) and the Aquarium.
Brittany's sea is known for its healing properties and hence a visit to the region's oldest Thalassotherapy centre established in 1899 is worthwhile.
28 Oct 2019Wet and wild journey
Sadly it rained continuously and the sea was rough so not a lot of sleep! Plymouth's ABP port staff had a lovely dry shed and made the most of their evening with their rule book.

25 Oct 2019Motorcycle trip
Booked this overnight crossing has we could start riding in France first thing the following morning. We also had a cabin, small but adequate with two beds, bunk bed style, it also had a small cubicle in the corner which had a shower, toilet, washbasin and towels, this we had not expected and came as a pleasant surprise, the cabin was quiet and we got a good night's sleep overall would recommend this crossing with a cabin.

Reserved seats ok but you do have to listen to the odd people swearing and snoring even though they think they are speaking in a low voice. Better with a cabin if you can afford it.
