    Neat and clean
    • We enjoyed our sail in Golden star ferry which was newish, sparkling clean and spacious. There was plenty of space with different types of seat layout, including the reclining seats. The ferry was kept clean all the time and was on time. There were multiple food bars and the staff were friendly and polite. Would recommend this ferry to anyone. For those who booked tickets via different websites, they need to convert the ticket at Golden star ferry counter for an additional charge of 1€ per ticket. That is the only slight inconvenience, hence only 4 stars for check in procedure.

Fast, but late and expensive (Aug 2013, Piraeus to Mykonos and back)
    • Although the service was twice the speed of the others, on both my journeys they were at least an hour late coming into port! When I'm paying over 100 euros for a round trip, I don't find that very impressive. On-board, the ferries were pleasant enough. Comfy seating, helpful if nonchalant staff. The bars sell over-priced snack food which will do in a pinch, but better to wait until you hit your destination. Confused by the same weird nature video playing on both journeys with no sound, presumably meant to be entertainment. Unfortunately the ferries are so fast and choppy you can't go out on deck either, which is always a favourite bit of ferry travel for me. All that said, they got me to where I needed to go quicker than the other lines would have done. In future, I'd probably try a different line unless timings or other circumstances compelled me to use Seajets again!

    Never again
    • We received an email with a change of time of departure that stated that no action was required from us. When the seajet finally arrived we boarded in a very disorganised chaos and rushed to the upstairs sitting area. To our surprise we couldn't find our seats. Trying to get someone from the crew to help was impossible. They were rude, repeating 'go upstairs for you seat' but no help at all. After a lot of frustration and shouting a female member of the crew said that Seajets had problems over the last month and change the ship that are seats were booked for! I don't know why they couldn't issue us with new tickets obviously booking early is not seemed normal! He whole experience made the start of my holiday very unpleasant as I have never been met with such lack of service in Greece. I would definitely try to make alternative plans for my return and will not recommend SeaJets to anyone.

    NEVER rely on Sea Jets
    • We had a tight schedule planned to make sure we arrived at a friends wedding on time in Paros. Having successfully got to Rafina we were told that our Sea Jets ferry was canceled due to 'a mechanical fault'. As a result we had to buy new tickets and wait 5 hrs for another ferry which took 5hrs instead of 1.4. As a result we arrived 8 hours late to Mykonos. We were then to catch a Sea Jet ferry to Paros. This again was cancelled! We left the next day 6 hours later. We also found that a majority of the wedding guests also had cancelled Sea Jet ferries due to a 'current in the sea'. We had no notice, no guidance or support and worst of all our B and B lady later found out in Greek that the ferries were all cancelled because they had not sold enough tickets to make it worth it for them. This was a massive disappointment which caused a lot of stress and people to miss the wedding and their flights home. A stark contrast to the excellent customer service we received throughout the rest of our stay.
