On board Spirit of Tasmania Ferries

The Spirit of Tasmania I and Spirit of Tasmania II were built in 1998 and travel high speed at 27 knots, equivalent to 50 kilometres per hour.

On board you can find a selection of bars and restaurants where you can relax and enjoy the view and take the chance to refuel yourself for your destination. For entertainment, why not try the onboard cinema or the gaming lounge?

You can also prepare yourself for the next step of your journey by visiting the tourism information centre, and grab anything you may have forgotten to pack from the gift shop.

If you are travelling overnight, then Spirit of Tasmania has many options for accommodation. If you are on a budget a reclining seat can be an option to catch some rest, or alternatively if you are part of a group sharing a cabin can be a good idea. If you want guaranteed comfort then look no further than the Deluxe Cabin, offering all modern conveniences and that little bit of extra space.

      On the ship
      • First we took the ferry during the day from Melbourne to Devonport, we had chairs which can change for a sleep, we bought things in the shop, have meal. To come back, we took a cabin with 4 beds, had meal and went to sleep, but my daughter was afraid and we didn't sleep well.
