About Tars

The island of Lolland lies to the west of Falster, facing the German Baltic coast. Not counting Greenland, Lolland is the third largest Danish island after Zealand and Funen. The islands of Lolland, Falster and Mon, together with the nearby smaller islands, are known by the Danes as the "South Sea Islands".

About Spodsbjerg

Spodsbjerg is a traditional fishing town located on the east coast of Langeland, Denmark, just 9km from Rudkobing, the 'capital' of Langeland. The town consists of a small fishing harbour, marina and of course the port. There is a hotel in the town if you are thinking staying and there is a café near the port.

Langeland itself is beautiful and green and famous for its wild Exmoor ponies. The island is known as tourism spot especially in the summer and is a great place for walks and long bike rides. The little towns dotted around the island show-case traditional charming Danish architecture. The capital of Rudkobing is the birthplace of the famous physicist and chemist Hans Christian Orsted.
