    Still in the dark ages
    • I did not know what to expect from this trip. The last time I used a ferry was 23 years ago so I was expecting some things to have changed. Wrong. The check in procedure was not easy by bike. On board my bike was put somewhere secure but there were no signs where to go. On board there did not seem to be enough toilets and the facilities in the toilet I found was poor. Dirty. Lots of flys. The customer service was average and I sensed that they do not have a lot if time for customers. They were not unpleasant. Just a little short. Maybe tired. The food was delicious and I liked the buffet where you could take as much as you like though I could see how people might take advantage of this. I found somewhere to sit for the journey and that was comfortable enough. The walk on the outside part of the ferry was pleasant and overall it was good value for money costing me less than 40 pounds but it has not changed in two decades which is surprising.
