    Farce
    • I arrived at the port one hour early, spent over half an hour trying to find a parking space, and then was refused entry on the boat which was just about to leave the port. The manager was then rather rude and blamed the checking in staff. If there was another provider I would certainly not be using Condor again. I drove for 3 hours to get the ferry, so was very unhappy they wouldn't let me board.

    Holiday in Guernsey
    • We decided to use the ferry to avoid all the red tape at the airport and for the convenience of having our own car. We would use the ferry again. No complaints.

    No Going Back
    • The booking in was no trouble. I am a disabled driver and normally I do not have any problems with getting in and out of my car, however, once on board the cars were packed in so very tightly that there was no way I could get out of the driver's door. What ensued was the very painful business of easing myself over the car's transmission tunnel and I was only just able to exit my car's passenger side door before the next car was jammed some 6 inches away. The journey was uneventful, but I was totally unimpressed by the reclining seats, for which I paid extra! When the passenger in front of me reclined the seat back, my face was almost touching the back of the seat in front. This was extremely uncomfortable so I won't be travelling in that section again. The time came to move down to the car deck but on arrival there it was quite obvious no one would be moving into their cars for some time as nobody but a very small number of drivers could access their cars. It took almost 50 minutes before I was able to gain access to my car and a further 18 minutes before we reached the exit ramp of the ferry. Of all the ferry trips I have undertaken, this journey did not rate very highly amongst them!!!!!

    from London to Guernsey
    • Pack up luggage, leave hostel for London tube to Waterloo station, board train for Weymouth, walk from train station into Weymouth and along long Esplanade to pier then along pier to Condor Ferry terminal and customs/check luggage. After all that a wonderful restful chair/table on the ferry. Gentle rocking of ferry along the way did not cause any sea sickness. Once landed, we were so happy to find a left luggage opportunity near the end of the pier into St. Peter Port. 1.5 days left to explore Castel and St Peters Port via wonderful local bus service and walking!
